I am absolutely obsessed with this original artwork on paper by talented Patricia Thomas. The lines are simple and beautiful and I love the message behind the lover’s knot. According to my dear friend Kiki that is what Swedish sailors in the 16th century would tie and give as mementos to their loved ones before they went on their ocean voyages. The two intertwining overhand knots symbolize two intertwined lovers.
