Thin Striped Fabric On My Mind

It feels like we have been seeing fabrics with really thick stripes for years (especially black and white and dark blue and white). When I came across this image in the latest issue of House & Home, I had to stop and stare for a while. I realized that I had forgotten about my early love –  thin striped fabric! In vogue or not — who cares. I will definitely add more of this to my own home. Simple, calm, casual and classy.

I might also need to add some pretty & festive bulbs to my chandelier for the winter holidays.

Hugs to you all!

Okay, first off I want to tell you how adorable those little spiders are that you put on your banner. Secondly, I just love stripes and ticking on anything is just awesome!!!

  • YES! I love a ticking stripe and made some curtains for my bedroom recently with some similar fabric! Hope you are well, Mon! x

Det är klassiskt och det är snyggt. Men ibland vet jag inte om jag vill ha det så eller något annat. Jag funderar på att klä om en mindre soffa och då ev i randigt :)

    Ha det så bra !!

  • Monica-
I love the tiny stripes and ticking too! Such a comfortable and pretty look.
Hope that you are having a great week, sweet friend.
    Happy Tuesday.

  • Love it and love it with the rug!!

  • I concur! I love thin stripes in fact maybe more than thick ones, that image is heavenly! Hope alls well…have a wonderful day!

The ticking once used for containing feathers for bed pillows… It is a classic! Michael Angus loves it (desinger here). Since I am living in the city of House & Home (Toronto) I will call my friend who works there and mention the sloppy fabric application of the chair on the left. Not acceptable for magazine shoot…

Well written. On target. Good for all to see.

Love it – maybe for my dinning room chairs?

  • Reminds me of my very first sofa, my first big furniture purchase after college. It was covered in black and white ticking and I looooved it for many years. Later it was recovered…and has since been given away. But, you’ve taken me back to my early 20s and it’s fun to see that ticking still holds its allure!

    Hope all is well, Mon!!
