Shopping & Shipping & Mr. Sting!

Hello all. Feeling a little frazzled here! A hectic season indeed!  Between my family, my shop, 1000 holiday activities and many evening gatherings & parties, there has been zero time for my blog. I don’t know how you do it all but I need 10 more hours/day – at least!

I have also made a promise to myself to refocus a tad and really enjoy the season this year. So, what a treat it was to, in the midst of all holiday stress, join hubby and go listen to this guy, my FAVORITE !, Mr. STING!!! I LOVE HIM!!!

When he started talking from the stage at this quaint little Seattle Theater, I got all weepy. I am listening to Sting’s real voice – and he is standing there, right in front of me!! He is so humble and professional and his brilliant songs lift my mood. I have had a serious crush on him for a very long time. He is the real deal.

My tree is now up but it is kind of empty underneath (I have been focusing on making customers and friends & family in Europe happy!)… I have some serious shopping ahead of me. Mainly for the kids.

Restoration Hardware Baby & Child has many lovely gifts for the young ones. And their styling/photography is so nice.

My own little shop is keeping mega busy! You have to place orders this week if you want to get your items in time for Christmas.

I have finally added a professional e-mail alert with STORE NEWS & DEALS. Sign up here – if you want to receive first hand information from my store. I want to keep the blog and the store as separate as possible. They both fulfill different needs.

Speaking of store, my good & stylish friend Jeanette (looking forward to your party, girlie!), just opened a little on-line boutique (Cute Like Mad) selling beautiful Swedish Sami Bracelets.

These handmade, leather bracelets have an intricate weave of silver threads and two leather cords. The buttons are made of hand carved reindeer antler.Very Swedish and very pretty! Hop over and visit here!

Happy New Week Everyone! (I know, I know… I have some serious blog catching up to do!).

  • Mon…..confession over here, I too had a huge crush on Sting (kind of still do) I liked him even more after seeing an interview with him and saw a little more beyond that raspy gorgeous voice and any man whos stayed married to the same wonderful woman while being in the crazy messed up world of show biz is someone who has earned his stripes and my respect big time!!!!!!
Your life sounds like mine but I am home more because I am slowly starting to pack, so trying to pace myself and not stress. Last week and this weekend were crazy and waking up at 4:30 certainly helps me get my day started..lol.
Love all your offerings, awesome boots, the little mice are just the cutest thing, and that blanket could make me call in sick perhaps a little too often and on a side note seeing those RH pics of the kids rooms, totally makes me want to regress and be 10 again!!!!!!! Stay calm amidst the frenzy…enjoy! xo

Darling, that image is a mirror of how I feel also. It is crazy busy but also a lot of fun!

Sting is sublime in every sense – what a lovely treat in the midst of all the madness. I hope the happy feeling persists.

Love the inspiration images and fell hard for the silhouette wall. Might be something for Isabella and Oscar’s playroom. Project for January 2012.. :)

I am off to sign up for your newsletter.

    Hugs and kisses from Swedala!

I saw Sting many years ago in small venue – I was so close I could almost touch him! It was such a great concert! I can’t imagine how you balance the store, the blog, the family – etc, etc – of course you need more time. Everything you do is amazing! Have a wonderful Holiday!

  • I also saw Sting many years ago – at an outdoor theater on a beautiful California summer evening – it was quite an experience! Glad you were able to take some time to enjoy! Hang in there. :)

You certainly are busy, Mom, but it is all good busy. Another Sting fan here. I noticed a new feature in your comments; you have provided a link to the last post of all your blogger friends. I have never seen that before. What a kindness to your followers who have their own blogs. Have a great day.
    Best…Victoria

My daughter brought back one of the darling bracelets you show when they were in Stockholm several years ago. “It” ALWAYS gets comments when I wear it! “frazzled” franki

I am so jealous you got to see Sting live! Do you have his holiday album from last year (or two years ago?)? It is amazing; I’ve got it on heavy rotation constantly this time of year. I highly recommend it. Happy holidays, Monika! P.S. Adore that chevron blanket!

  • Tracey says:

I know what you mean about Sting and you described him perfectly. I just bought a pair of hunters but seeing all of those Ilse Jacobson boots lined up makes me want a pair ….. Or a few pairs of those. I want to reassure you that you will get everything done. You will!

  • Mon, it is indeed a crazy and pressure-filled time of year! I have so much left to do, I’m feeling nervous :( And for that reason I have been the crummiest blog-commenter ever, though I am trying my best. That’s all we can do right? Try our best, it’s impossible to be perfect! I hope you are having tons of fun with your family this holiday season, many blessings!

Hi Monika! I am a customer of yours, (love the boots!!) and a real fan of your blog. When I saw today’s entry I just had to respond to you. I too am a huge fan of Sting. I got to see him in the summer of 2010 at a concert. I was very close to the front and was in a little bit of heaven. I too have had a serious crush on Mr. Sting for a long time. I could not believe I was actually seeing him in real time, breathing the same air. In otherwords, I was giddy. HaHa. What fun it was. I am so glad you got to experience it too. Have a wonderful day and holiday.

    Fondly,

    Deborah P.

  • Ahhhhh, Sting. So happy for you. Hang in there. XO, Mona

  • Sting…that would of been amazing! Nice break. As for the holidays, I am just taking it one day at a time and trying not to stress out too much. As for my boots, can’t say enough how fabulous they are, still get stopped everytime I wear them and direct people to your store {and tell them to ship to a US mailbox}!

  • Karena says:
