One Lovely Ikea Pillow

I am really loving this “Vilmie Figur” pillow cover (you buy the insert separately) from Ikea. I purchased a couple for my own home and have pushed it through the doors of several other homes (my close friend Kendra mixed it with some white pillows in her bay window and it looks fantastic). I LOVE the African style pattern, the thick fabric (it has a zipper) and the fact that the pillow cover comes with contrasting color sides for variation. Now and then Ikea just comes up with these design pearls that are must haves and this, in my opinion, is one of them. I would have no problem placing this pillow on a high-end chair or sofa. It is that good. And I would have happily paid a lot more than the mere $10/pillow case that it costs! A steal, people!

I like them so much I am actually getting a few more! Never know when they will come in handy. Just a little touch of eclectic pattern and something lovely for the eye to be drawn to.

Hope you are creating good summer memories!

Looks great – oh my goodness how long it is since I was at IKEA! Hard to believe since it´s so close, but I forget about it sometimes. :-)

IKEA härligt. Tjusig design till bra pris faktiskt.
Finns IKEA i seattle? In old stockholm får vi nöja oss med Barkaby och Skärholmen.
Snygga kuddar. Vitt o svart är perfekt match…

You are right about Ikea and their pillows….I have that one and many others…and I have been known to hoard them also! And can we talk about the cost of their inserts? For real….so cheap.

Hej hej från Sverige. Är osynlig i blogg världen just nu, men ville titta in hos dig förstås. xx

    sis xx

    P.S. Har paketet kommit fram?

A steal! Definitely one you can own a few of! Hoppas du har en bra sommar. Jag ar hemma lite sjuk, men jag har slutat att vara en total arbetsmyra..haha..forsoker njuta lite mer av livet och spendera mindre tid vid datorn!! xxx

  • Awesome!!! Sometimes they can have the most hideous pillows but these ones are fantastic! You know how much I love black and white fabric! Next time I am there I MUST grab one or two! Speaking of black and white fabric, I recently re-covered another item for my son’s room in my infamous Ikea black and white striped fabric!

  • I have found never to underestimate Ikea. They have such great style at such a great price…you can afford to horde! The black and white is timeless and I love the global feel of this pattern. It adds a nice contrast to any style. Good find!

  • Dear Mon,
I agree! These pillows could be added to change the entire feel and look of room, and not spend a fortune! Black and white are timeless elements that could also be brought back into style centurys later! Great Eye for detail! Have a fabulous rest of your week!
    Kindest regards XO,
    Renee and Anglea

  • Love this pillow…wouldn’t work in my house…but I really wish I had about 5 houses so I could have all these different things that I love. don’t see that happening. alas, that’s why I do what I do. I’m just mad for so many things that I have to find somewhere to put them. Happy Summer! Mona

  • Love the pillows. Such great texture and I never would have guessed they came from Ikea!

    Kram Jenny

  • Oh I don’t know how I missed this post! Ha, I’ve just posted about IKEA too! They have quite some little gems and this is one! I love the photos featuring this sweet pillow!

    Meera xx

I love that pillow as well. So much so that I’m using it in the “golfer flat project”. Great minds think alike, he he.
