Branching Out In Seattle

Soon it is time to start picking branches in my backyard and bringing a little bit of loveliness inside my home. I love when I feel Spring in the air!

Speaking of branches, last week I was invited to a fun little blog party in Seattle with a few local bloggers.  It was held at the lovely boutique Meadow Boutique on Queen Anne. Lots of fun chatter and good laughs were combined with shopping, drinks and yummy treats.

All the girls were adorbale and so friendly and fun – even though I could be everyone’s Mom. Ha!

I love meeting people in person and my biggest struggle in blog land has always been that I can’t see faces & hear voices! Perhaps meeting these lovely blog ladies on a regular bais will fill that void. A big thank you to Michaela and Maggie for hosting! (Note to Marianne: You are joining me next time!)

Wishing you all a fun & happy weekend.

Monday is the last chance! Don’t forget to enter “A Perfect & Splendid Giveaway” over at the lovely A Perfect Gray. You can win a pair of high-end Ilse Jacobsen boots from my store! Go here!

Hi Mon! I have visited you everyday, but for some reason my comments are actually posting! Hmmmm. 3rd times a charm right?! I am so sorry to hear of the big crash. I can totally, totally relate. My story in short is that it was a wedding present. They were giant candelabra wall sconces from Italy. My friends husband travels abroad and brings home the finds for their design store. It was a sad, sad day!! Back to you post, how fun :) I have had 2 chances to meet fellow bloggers. One was a group setting, the other a one to one. Very nice. Too bad we live literally cross country! Have a wonderful weekend. Okay, “submitting comment” now…. XO, Kelly

  • Hi Mon,
Cherry blossom branches are my fav!
    Happy Spring!

  • Danielle says:

I totally can’t wait to pick branches, although sometimes I cheat and get them from Whole Foods…they carry the most amazing curly willow branches every year that last forever. So nice that you had a meetup with other bloggers…you may (doubt it) be old enough to be their mother, but you sure don’t look like it at all. You all look like sisters…

  • I’ve been eyeing my cherry blossom branches in the yard too! They are so pretty.

Let me know if you want to get together for coffee next week. Call me on my cell. xo

  • What a wonderful idea. We should have a blog party in Houston, I’m sure there are tons of lovelies who would come. Great idea! And, I’ve entered your giveaway. Thank you SO much for this generous offer. xx’s Marsha

I love that room in the 1st picture. It’s so elegant!!! And the branches with the white flowers just add to it all. Sounds like the bloggers’ party was a blast! :)

  • LiveLikeYou says:

You certainly DON’T look like their mom!! So funny I never feel like I’m getting older suddenly I’m friends with people and realizing I’m actually old enough to be their mom!! How fun a bloggers meeting!!

  • LOVED meeting you too! Can’t wait to see what you have in store in the shop!

  • designchic says:

How fun with a blog date. I’ve met a few local and one OS blogger and it’s always so wonderful to be able to put an animated real person together with a fabulous blog and face.
You look beautiful in the pictures and I don’t think for a second anyone would think you could be their mother. Silly woman! x

Branches.. You know how I LOVE them. I can’t resist a good twig and the house always sports at least one arrangement somewhere – nude or sprouting, doesn’t matter. I love them all!

    Kram kram

    xx Charlotta

  • Hi Mon, I’ve so enjoyed this post. How fun! “Good girls rarely make history.” :-) Huge hugs to you

  • It IS fun to meet
    up with other bloggers,
    and I have found that
    our common interests
    transcend the age
    differences. The fact
    that the bloggers who
    you connect with are
    younger testifies to
    your hip style and young
    spirit!! And in my
    opinion, you fit right
    in with the crowd in
    that picture!!
    xx Suzanne
