Hello blog friends all over the planet! It’s payback time for all the kindness and friendship you all have given me.  Design has always been my true passion. To have found a forum to express myself and meet so many lovely & talented people feels just amazing.

So, as a thank you, I have done a little shopping for Splendid Willow’s second giveaway.

For this giveaway I have purchased three lovely things for the home and you may soon be the lucky owner. Are you ready? You now have a chance to win one of the three following items:

1) Jonathan Adler’s Muse Blanc scented candle. Retails for approx $60.

The candle is set in a a porcelain vessel that glows as the candle burns. After the candle is gone, the vessel makes for a perfect flower vase. The candle is 3.5″ high.

2) Nate Berkus’ Hope Pillow. Retails for approx $49.95.

This pillow is part of Nate Berkus latest line of home furnishings for HSN. The elegant pillow is white with a bright metallic embroidery. Evoking a message of hope, this pillow emphasizes that your home is your haven. The cover has a hidden zipper.

3) 8 Thin German Glitter Peace Sign Ornaments (from Pottery Barn). Retails for approx $32. ($4 each).

These lovely ornaments with a meaningful message could be used not only for the upcoming Holidays – but all year around! (I am getting a bunch myself to give as little tokens for friends & family).

How do you take part of the giveaway? By simply adding a comment to this post and telling us which one out of these 3 items you would like in your own home and where you would place it (we love to peek into other people’s homes!).

The contest closes on Sunday November 8th at midnight PST. All comments/names will be put in a hat. And as usual my poor husband gets to randomly pick three winners. The winners will be announced on this blog and by email Monday morning November 9th.  (Yes, I will ship worldwide!) Note: only one entry per person 😉

Good Luck Friends! I can’t wait to announce the winners!

  • Oh…! I’d take the peace signs… You can never have enough reminders of what is needed most, now as the holidays approach, and always. Id’ put them on the tree and then probably hang a couple around the house in unexpected places. I already have a few ornaments that although they are ‘technically’ holiday fare, live out and about for throughout the year.

Thanks for having this giveaway, Monika. What a lovely gesture for your blog friends, dear..!

  • Courtney says:

I love that pillow! It would go straight to the couch in my living room. I think that the crisp-whiteness with a hint of shimmer would be just the thing to brighten the room this winter.

  • Sofia says:

Peeeeeace! Beautiful, if in the christmas tree a branch high up would be required, a certain three year old will love that glitter!
    You’re terrific Monica!

  • Joe Clarke says:

Adler’s candle! So my style. I would place it on my bedside table right away. You are always so generous!

  • Desiree says:

LOVE the peace ornaments. My tree is all white silver…they would match splendidly!

  • Bianca says:

Thank you so much for this great give-away Monika. It is very hard to decide because all three are fabulous! I think I would go with the peace sign ornaments though… it is what the world needs most and to help spread the word… I would love it. ~Bianca

  • Stephanie Belfiore says:

ooooh…. I love the hotel pillow. Just what a tired mama needs at the end of the day to transport her into a more zen frame of mind. It would happily find a spot on my bed!

  • Kimberly Wolf says:

Oh, it is a hard one but you did tell me I need some fun pillows for my living room couch so I would definitely go with that one. I like that it is a “hope” pillow; our world needs that as well as peace and what better place to start than in the home. Great choices! :)

  • Delishhh says:

I love the Muse Blanc scented candle. It is simple and elegant. It would go perfectly on my dark brown dining room table.

  • Larkyn says:

All three are awesome items so this is a tough one but because I love Nate I’d have to go with the “hope” pillow. I’m a sucker for shiny things and I can always use a new throw pillow to spruce up our couch.

Even though I don’t want any more competition, I’m going to spread the word on this fab giveaway on twitter :-)

  • Jane says:

Hi Monika – you are very generous. I would pick the Jonathan Adler candle for the mantelpiece in our front sitting room. I love the little faces and we cannot get his products in Australia. Have a happy day xoxo

  • Rebecca says:

Thanks for sharing your fabulous finds! I adore the peace ornaments, hanging from some beautiful (red or pale blue) ribbon throughout my home….

  • Alison Deane says:

Love your blog Monika and so glad you are doing something you are so passionate and great at :-).

We would chose the pillow! We use to have a lemon pillow on our couch until our wonderful 11-month old labradoodle decided it was a great football. We got it from a great store in San Francisco that is no longer in business. We miss our lemon, but know there is a replacement out there somewhere for us. Love to the family xo

  • Holly says:

Oh Monika your blog is beautiful, just like you. I am so very proud of you and it puts a smile on my face knowing that you are doing something that you truly love.
I couldn’t pick a favorite…I love it all, but most of all I love you. Kisses to the family.

  • Charlotta says:

You are so lovely I am sending a hundred big Swedish bear hugs via the ether to you right now!!
As my year has been all but peaceful I am drawn towards the box of German ornaments. I would hang them in my front windows in two bunches of 3. The last two I would hang in my bathroom window. I think their presence would reinforce a peaceful and hopeful ending to this year and start to the next!

All of this said, I want you to know that you needn’t go out and get any kind of thank-you-give-aways for me – Your wonderful blog and Swedish sisterhood is enough!!

    Kramar till dig!
    Charlotta xx

  • Jeanette says:

How amazing of you to offer prizes to us humble readers of your blog. We are, at least I am, just so pleased and happy to read about your finds, and pine after the things on your blog. Such beautiful things, so little time…
But since you’re offering, I would love to have either of your prizes, they are all lovely. I especially adore the sparkly peace signs, they would either go in my all silver and blue tree, or in the girls rooms on a aged piece of branch, which will also hold their advent calenders (is that how you say it in English?).
    Kram Jeanette

  • kendra says:

I love all three, you are truely blessed with a gift I for one am glad you share. Wish I could have all 3 today in my home… See you on New Years!

  • kiki alvord says:

-“Peace Out Man!!!” ops WOMAN…. I meant of course. So cool and so sweet, are they!

  • Di Overton says:

It would have to be the Ban The Bomb sign. When I was a teenager I had that sign painted on my backpack or haversack as we called them then. When I was finished with it my Dad used it to take his lunch to work in it. He was known as the trendiest worker on the building site. Brings back such happy memories of him. Also it still means the same thing now – BAN THE BOMB, PEACE so many meanings in this war torn world.

  • You are just to cool, generous, thoughtful and have the best taste. As I got chocolates once I think I am already to spoilt..but why I am a fan and avid reader of your Blog..For me it would be the HOPE pillow..I would place it in my room in my meditation/yoga give me inspiration and light. Thanks again lovely Monica..I think your husband is very lucky to have such a talented and creative wife who allows him to pick prize winners!

  • That pillow is very beautiful! I would place it on a chair in my bathroom because the colours of the pillow will match so well with the colours in my bathroom!

  • Anna Lovell says:

They are all so lovely! But i think my pick will be the Nate Berkus pillow. Love the crisp design and the name is so fitting. The pillow would be on my couch in the living room together with my other white accents.
Thank you Monika for sharing your keen design eye with us.
    Anna Lovell

  • Monica this is soooo nice of you! I would chose the lovely pillow because Hope is all we have sometimes.

  • jenna says:

Wow, what fabulous finds! I am going to have to go with the Adler candle, I feel I can never have enough candles and have been thinking of some new white ones to purchase. I think it would look fabulous on my dark wood coffee table next to my white potted plant. Or even on my side table in front of my stack of books which my lamp is placed upon. I LOVE White accents :)

    Good Luck to all!

  • Kathy Browers says:

Oh, how hard! Let me think….I like them all – but I think I would like the pillow best. It could work as an inspiration piece for my bedroom makeover! Your blog is very beautiful & inspirational.

  • cathi says:

Ooooh…I was just looking at the Peace Sign ornaments at Pottery Barn….I would so love that!

  • What a fantastic giveaway, Monika! I’m a sucker for candles. :) I would put it on the bookshelf with some of my other small white vases, etc.

  • Alysia says:

What beautiful things to choose from!
I love candles so I would have say the Muse Blanc candle and I think I am going to put it in my bedroom!! :)

  • sylvia says:

Hi Mon, I was not able to read your BLOG since my computer was in the shop for 5 weeks! I have to do a lot of catching up!
It is just like picking up a Oprah Magazine. I don’t like her covers but I like her ideas that she writes about and shares with her readers! So with other words, you’re my Swedish Oprah, LOL
What a beautiful prices ! There are no wishes here, they are all gorgeous and it would be such a honor to have any of them in my house. I would use the ornaments all year round, just change the ribbons for the occasion. And the candle is to die for!
I would love anything but candle, fragrant candles are my favorite. Hope all is well! And I’m so glad my computer is fixed. Keep up the good work, Oprah!
    Say hi to Elsa!
    Syl :)

  • Purple Area says:

Love the peace sign ornament, so cool!!

  • Wow! I love your blog, Monica. And you’re in Seattle too?? Our power went out last night from the storm, so I was forced to make a “bonfire” inside :) What an awesome giveaway here! Honestly, I’ve had my eye on that Jonathan Adler candle for months now. I keep seeing it in boutiques and just love it. I’m glad to have found you!! xoxo

  • Caroline Oates says:

Very glad to have done this before the cut off. I wrote your name on my hand in unremovable ink to ensure I do not forget. It will take days to rub off but did the trick. :-)

At first I feel in love with the peace signs but then the hope pillow over-ruled. Why? Because I do not have a single pillow/cushion in my house apart from the practical ones. I reckon it is time in my life for some luxury and what a great message to go with it – HOPE.

So it would go on my guest bedroom double bed. And everytime someone came to visit I would say that I won this from your blog Splendid Willow.

Hope all is well with you. Thanks also for your wonderful generosity.

    Caroline X

  • Paula Diekhoff says:

What a nice giveaway!! I love each item and I enjoyed looking through the rest of your site. I would appreciate winning the candle, so I could give it to my daughter, age 27. She is just starting to decorate and is using white and dark wood for her scheme. She also loves candles. And, I think she’d say her “old-fashioned” mom had some taste, upon receiving such a nice gift. I could envision her placing the candle on her end table in the living room…. or in the kitchen, which is all white.

  • LesleySW says:

Hi Monika – I included a link to this giveaway on my Sunday blog roundup at You have a beautiful blog!
